Special Guest Speaker: Trout Unlimited
February 11, 2014 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
The Eastern Sportmen’s Organizer of TU will be speaking at our Club on Tuesday, the 11th, as above. Paula Piatt is from PA, and is both a hunter and flyfisher lady.
She is talking with interested members of gun clubs throughout the state about the environment, which is important to everyone even if you’re not a hunter or fisherman. Entitled “Shared Habitat,” her presentation focuses on Marcellus drilling and hydrofracturing with the impact on the Delaware River Basin, much of which is in Chester County. In addition, she will discuss pending legislation in Harrisburg for continued drilling plus environmental regulation.
You will get a summary of her presentation from the website – www.tu.org
- Close the initial page by hitting the ” x ” in the top right, and you go immediately to the front page of Trout Unlimited.
- Scroll down through the picture tiles, until at the bottom in the middle you will see a tile entitled “Pennsylvania Sportsmen Speak.”
- Open that picture to see a summary of her remarks at another event, as well as some of the legislative initiatives which TU is supporting.
Paula Piatt will be managing the TU stand at the Greater Philadelphia Outdoor Sport Show from Feb. 13 to 16, so you can ask her about this event too. It will take place at Oaks, north of Valley Forge Historical Park.
The Board is pleased to support this new speaker on the vital topics of environmental impact, corporate taxes and jobs, which will affect everyone over many years. Paula will arrive at about 5:00 pm to shoot and mingle, so come and chat before her formal presentation. Together, we can always learn something.
